Operation Irini: anti-Covid measures onboard ITS Margottini
EUNAVFOR MED IRINI can confirm that 51 crew members have tested positive for COVID-19 on the Italian flagship ITS Margottini following routine COVID testing. This was established by the Italian authorities after 15 days of activity at sea. Of those tested positive, 47 are crew members of ITS Margottini and 4 are members of the Force crew.
As a precautionary measure, it was decided to immediately carry out a further check, repeating the test for all the personnel on board.
