Operation IRINI inspected a Panama-flagged vessel
The French ship of Operation Irini, PM L’Her, boarded and inspected the Panama-flagged vessel Medkon Izmir on 4th april. The inspection ended with the full cooperation of the crew and did not lead to the discovery of any suspicious material. All recommended COVID-19 precautions were observed during the activity. This is the 11th boarding of the Eunavfor MED Operation, where 24 European Union member States work together to stem arms trafficking in Libya in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
