H.E. Karla WUSTEROVA, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Italy, visited the EUNAVFOR MED IRINI OHQ in Rome
Welcomed by OPCDR Stefano TURCHETTO, the Ambassador was fully briefed on the Operation state of play, main tasks and recent achievements. The tour of the facilities ended with the visit of the Joint Operation Center, the beating heart of the command.
H.E. WUSTEROVA and the Operation Commander shared their vision on the challenges and opportunities for the Operation IRINI after
the June renewal of the United Nations Security Council Resolution on the arms embargo on Libya.
During the visit Ambassador Wusterova met the Slovak personnel deployed in the OHQ, thanking them for their service on behalf of the Nation.
