HE Patricia O’Brien, Ambassador of Ireland to Italy, visited EUNAVFOR MED Irini Operation Headquarters in Rome
This morning, the Ambassador of Ireland to Italy, H.E. Patricia O’Brien, went to EUNAVFOR MED #IRINI Operation Headquarters (OHQ) in Rome for the second time, in the last two years.
Welcomed by the IRINI Operation Commander, RADM Stefano Turchetto, She was fully briefed on the state of play of the Operation.
IRINI OPCDR expressed his sincere gratitude for Ireland’s ongoing and significant involvement in the Operation and underlined Irish’s engagement in the security of the Central Mediterranean.
During the visit, H.E. Patricia O’Brien met all the Irish personnel deployed in the OHQ thanking them for their effective contribution to the Operation.
The tour included a visit of the Joint Operation Centre (JOC), the operational heart of the Headquarters.
